TEAS
TEAS offers advice and training on energy efficiency. TEAS looks for new and creative ways to assist individuals and communities to improve their energy efficiency awareness and develop more sustainable communities.
TEAS has a number of specific projects in development including :
Demonstration Sustainable Housing Project
Presentations
Presentations to Community Groups on Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Energy. The work of CAfE would continue with presentations to a variety of groups advising them on Energy Efficiency and raising awareness of opportunities in the use of alternative and renewable energy sources and related grants. The presentations would include displays in areas where people congregate such as the library, the supermarket, at ferry terminals etc. Specific women’s groups would be identified i.e. mother and toddler groups, the girl guides etc. to offer tailored advice to people who run homes and are often responsible for the purchasing domestic appliances.
Training
Training in Energy Efficiency and Energy Awareness to housing staff, front line staff in Council, school’s staff and businesses. Programme developed by LEEP/Warmburgh Edinburgh and TIG has trained staff ready to deliver this initiative.
Energy Audit Domestic Energy Audit to be undertaken as part of a home visit and by completion of EEAC Home Energy Check and, in some cases, the preparation of SAP ratings.
