Tighean Innse Gall was formed in 1991 and its principal activities are working with the Local Housing Associations, developing housing for low cost home ownership, assisting elderly or disabled owners occupiers through Care and Repair; delivering energy efficiency measures to householders through Taigh Blath and offering an Energy Advice service to householders and small and medium sized businesses.

Tighean Innse Gall is based in the Western Isles and operates throughout the islands.

Tighean Innse Gall is controlled by a voluntary Management Committee elected from non-profit making shareholders.
